GB Bearings (Pty) Ltd has been in operation in South Africa since 1962, having a network of facilities situated in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.  GB Bearings was previously know as Federal Mogul Large Bearings  and prior to that as Glacier Bearings.

GB Bearings primarily manufacture and repair whitemetal bearings for both local and International markets. In addition it distributes and supplies a comprehensive range of specialized plain bearings and materials to these industries.

GB Bearings remains as a licensee to Waukesha Bearings and represents Federal-Mogul Glyco Glycodur and Deva Metal plain bearing related products. These partnerships enable GB Bearings to provide its customers with a more complete service through the technical support and product range of these Companies.

GB Bearings continues to manufacture and design the HSR range of bearing assemblies, with the addition of our new HSS bearing assembly range. Our various products are supported with extensive technical expertise and through our various partnerships, GB Bearings is enabled to provide our clients with a more complete service, product range and support worldwide.

GB Bearings is B-BBEE accredited (rated at level 3) and has formal BEE accreditation with Eskom, Spoornet and the SAMPPF (South African Mining Preferential Procurement Forum).  A copy of our B-BBEE certificate can be downloaded from the Downloads link.

All our facilities conform to exacting standards with our Durban and Johannesburg operations approved and listed to ISO 9001:2015 accredited by Transpacific Certification Limited.

All sites maintain a Risk Management system that incorporates Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
